    教育統籌局局長王永平向本報表示：「無論如何，都要取消學能測驗」，但他認為，此並不代表沒有了評核制度，他建議在小三、小六及中三都進行一次劃一的成績評核，包括中、英、數三個核心科目。今次是港府提出取消升中學能測驗後，首次提出具體評核建議。
